Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy (SGRE) is to supply 16 turbines for four onshore wind farms in Germany totalling 50.6MW.
Seven SWT-3.0-113 machines are being installed for the Brebek wind farm in Karlum and Ladelund municipalities in Schleswig-Holstein.
The turbines, which are being built on steel towers with hub heights of 115 metres, will be commissioned in the summer.
A further four SWT-3.0-113 turbines with 92.5-metre hub heights will be installed at the Süderauerdorf wind project near Glückstadt on the Elbe.
The project is located on both sides of the planned extension of the A20 motorway.
One SWT-3.2-113 unit with a 92.5-metre hub height will replace a turbine installed in 2002 near Bredstedt in Northern Frisia.
SGRE will also be in charge of service and maintenance for 20 years at all three wind farms.
The company will also extend GETEC Green Energy’s Zerbst wind farm in Magdeburg in Saxony-Anhalt with four SWT-3.6-130 machines with 135-metre hub heights.
It has already delivered 10 direct drive turbines for the project.
Siemens Wind Power took the orders before the merger with Gamesa and so the deals are not part of Gamesa’s first quarter results.
