Siemens is to supply and install 54MW at Esinti Enerji’s Kinik wind farm in Turkey.
The German manufacturer will deliver 17 SWT 108 direct drive 3.2MW turbines for the project, which will be located close to the Aegean Sea.
Siemens also agreed a 10-year service contract for the wind farm, which includes remote monitoring and diagnostics.
Installation is set to start in the autumn.
Siemens Wind Power and Renewables Division onshore chief executive officer Thomas Richterich said: “With a fleet of around 100 wind turbines installed over the last six years, Turkey is becoming more and more important for Siemens.”
