Siemens Gamesa will supply turbines totalling 283MW to US developer Clearway Energy Group to repower two wind farms in Texas.
Financial close has also been reached on the two projects – the 161MW Wildorado and 122MW Elbow Creek developments in Vega and Howard County, respectively.
The deals bring the total Siemens Gamesa hardware ordered by Clearway over the last nine months to 1.4GW, the latter company said.
Various turbine models will be delivered for both build new wind farms and other repowering projects in Oklahoma, Texas, Washington and West Virginia.
