International energy consultancy Xodus Group is strengthening its renewables team with the appointment of Adrian de Andres as principal consultant focusing on the offshore clean power market.
He joins Xodus from Black and Veatch, where he was a principal consultant and managed several major offshore renewables projects.
Andres will provide technical and commercial advice to offshore renewables developers across the wind, wave and tidal sectors, Xodus said.
With a PhD in civil engineering and a MsC in coastal engineering, Andres also worked as a research engineer at the University of Edinburgh’s Institute of Energy Systems and Policy and Innovation Group.
Xodus renewables director Peter Tipler said: “Adrian’s experience spans the wave, tidal and offshore wind sector with leading projects ranging from feasibility study, cost of energy assessment, site selection to technology due-diligence or policy advice.”
“Adrian will provide technical and commercial advice to the different players in the offshore wind, wave and tidal sector.”
