Statkraft has signed two long-term power purchase agreements with Nadara for wind energy from two operational onshore wind farms in Italy.
The deals will see Statkraft buy around 60GWh annually from each of Nadara’s Minervino and San Sostene projects, with the respective agreements lasting 10 and five years from January 2026.
Both sites previously operated under government support schemes that have now expired.
“These are sites with real history,” said Maria Mura, head of south Europe origination at Nadara.
“This agreement allows us to give them a new chapter, ensuring their continued operation while providing a stable and predictable revenue stream.”
Statkraft said the contracts expand its Italian portfolio and improve its ability to offer a balanced renewable energy mix.
“The addition of wind power helps us deliver a more comprehensive and diversified offering to the Italian market,” said Simon Kornek, vice president of south European origination at Statkraft.
The companies said the PPAs highlight the growing maturity of Italy’s renewable sector and the role of long-term contracts in securing post-subsidy revenue for green energy assets.
