Terravent Deutschland has bought the 10MW Windhubel wind farm south of Mainz in Germany from Juwi.
Windhubel, in Worrstadt, in the Donnersberg district, comprises three Vestas V126 turbines with a total height of 212 metres.
The addition of the plant expands Terravent’s onshore wind power portfolio to 138MW.
Juwi developed and commissioned the wind farm in June 2019.
“With the purchase of the wind farm we can continue with the geographical diversification of our portfolio,” said Terravent Deutschland managing director Dieter Hauser, adding, “The location in south-west Germany is an ideal complement to our wind farms in northern and eastern Germany.”
Windhubel is the first Terravent wind farm purchased with a contract award in the tender process according to the German Renewable Energy Act (EEG) modified in 2017.
“The fact that we were awarded the project in a difficult market environment is all the more pleasing. We found a very experienced, competent, new partner with Juwi,” said Hauser.
