Spares in Motion has launched what it claims to be the world’s largest online portal for buying and selling wind turbine spare parts.
The Dutch company had previously offered an online service where suppliers could display their products and buyers could request a quote.
Starting today, the company’s new “webshop” allows buyers to see displayed prices, click on items and proceed to checkout.
The upgrade was made because buyers increasingly want transparent and faster solutions to procuring spare parts, the company said.
Suppliers, meanwhile, are discovering the value of e-commerce solutions as they grapple with overwhelming demand, it added.
