ScottishPower Renewables has begun turbine deliveries for the Kilgallioch wind farm extension in south-west Scotland.
The project will see nine new turbines installed, boosting the site’s total capacity to 290MW, which is enough to power the equivalent of more than 190,000 homes.

Blades and towers have now started arriving on site, marking a key milestone in the construction programme.
ScottishPower Renewables said the work is being driven forward with the support of Farrans Construction and other project partners.
The company added that the extension will build on Kilgallioch’s existing contribution to Scotland’s renewable energy supply and help accelerate the transition to net zero.
