Vestas has confirmed an order for 31 V126 3.45MW turbines for OX2 Wind’s 112MW Raskiftet wind farm in the municipalities of Åmot and Trysil in Norway.
The deal includes supply, installation and commissioning of the turbines, as well as a five-year active output management service agreement.
Delivery is expected to start in the second quarter of 2018.
The order also includes Vestas’ advanced de-icing system, using air heaters to capture, heat, and propel air within the turbine blades.
The Danish manufacturer said through its VestasOnline Scada system the de-icing technology continuously monitors the turbines performance and engages when there is net power production to be gained.
Vestas will also provide an obstacle collision avoidance system – radar-based technology that activates the turbines’ aviation lights when an aircraft is operating in the immediate vicinity of the wind park.
