Vestas is to supply turbines totalling 22MW to Eneco for the Slufterdam wind farm near Rotterdam in the Netherlands.
The order, first revealed in the subscriber-only newsletter reNEWS, comprises six V112-3.45MW machines optimised to 3.6MW.
Delivery and commissioning of the turbines are planned for the second half of 2018.
The contract also includes a full-scope service agreement.
In June, Eneco’s Slufterdam project partner Nuon Energy ordered V112-3.45MW machines also optimised to 3.6MW totalling 28MW for the same wind farm.
Slufterdam will have a total capacity of 50MW, Vestas said.
Vestas Central Europe president Nils de Baar said: “Nuon Energy and Eneco are long-term customers and key players in the Dutch wind energy sector and we are happy that they once again show full confidence in the business case certainty that our state-of-the-art wind solutions offer.”
