Vestas is to supply and commission turbines totalling 33MW to Evn Naturkraft Erzeugungsgesellschaft for the Sommerein wind farm in Lower Austria.
The Danish manufacturer will deliver V112-3.3MW machines with a hub height of 140 metres and V126-3.3MW units with a hub height of 137 metres for the project.
Delivery and commissioning are expected to start in the first quarter of 2018.
The deal also includes a VestasOnline business Scada solution.
Vestas Central Europe president Nils de Baar said: “To achieve the lowest cost of energy at the Sommerein site, Evn Naturkraft Erzeugungsgesellschaft needed a customised wind solution, and our versatile 3MW platform enables exactly that through different hub heights and rotor diameters.”
