Vestas has secured a turbine order totalling 74MW to equip two wind farms in Finland.
TOWII Renewables – a joint venture owned by Danish energy group EWII and Japan’s Tokyo Gas – has ordered 12 Vestas turbines for the Ketunperä and Kopsa 3 wind projects.
The turbines are all V162-6.2MW units, part of the EnVentus series, and will be covered by a 25-year service agreement.
TOWII Renewables acquired the two Finnish wind farm projects from Puhuri Oy and is continuing as project developer.
The two wind farms will be developed near the city of Raahe, located in North Ostrobothnia, Finland. Each project will comprise six wind turbines.
The order from TOWII Renewables forms part of Vestas’ third quarter intake. Delivery of the 12 turbines is scheduled to begin in the second quarter of 2026, with commissioning due in the fourth quarter.
