German developer VSB Holding has acquired all the rights to a 170MW hybrid wind and solar project in Poland.
The project is located in the Lower Silesian region and should be ready for construction by the end of 2023.
VSB Energie Odnawialne Polska managing director Hubert Kowalski said: “The combination of wind energy and photovoltaic park gets the maximum yield out of the area.
“We are confident that the upcoming positive changes in the area of the 10H distance rule in Poland will give us an additional boost to the success of the project.”
VSB has acquired the rights to the pre-developed project on an area of around 120 hectares.
Together with an external partner, the wind and solar park will be brought to construction maturity in the coming months.
It offers potential for up to 10 turbines in the 7MW class and a solar park with a dimension of up to 100MW.
VSB has has already commissioned around 76MW in Poland and more than 600MW in service.
