Francois Trabucco will take over the management of French renewables developer VSB Energies Nouvelles with immediate effect.
He succeeds Emmanuel Macqueron, who has managed the business since 2003.
Trabucco will be responsible for the development of project development and operations management in the wind energy and photovoltaic sectors in the French and Tunisian markets.
He has worked at VSB for six years as director of sales, business Development and project Development.
Founded in 2001, VSB Energies Nouvelles is the French subsidiary of Germany’s VSB Group, a renewables full-service provider.
VSB credits Macqueron for his dedicated and successful work.
Under his leadership, VSB was able to position itself as one of France’s leading renewables project developers.
Prior to VSB, Trabucco worked for Vestas as quality, safety and environment manager and for the Societe du Pipeline Sud Europeen (SPSE), a subsidiary of Total Group.
Trabucco is a graduate environmental engineer and studied in Marseille.
VSB Holding managing director Marko Lieske said: “France is one of the core markets of the VSB Group with great growth potential for renewable energies.
“The large-scale expansion of wind and sun will make a decisive contribution to achieving the government’s goal of 40% green electricity generation by 2030.
“We look forward to working with Francois Trabucco to further this expansion and to expand the top position of the VSB.”
