John Laing Group has acquired the 10.25MW Saint Martin l’Ars wind farm in France from German company WKN for €5.9m.
Construction has already started on the project, which is located in the Vienne department in western France.
The wind farm will comprise five Senvion MM92 2.05MW turbines with hub heights of 100 metres.
WKN will be responsible for the construction of the project, and will be EPC contractor.
The project, which is scheduled for completion in June 2018, also has a 15-year feed in tariff.
John Laing financed the acquisition through an equity investment and project finance debt from ING Bank.
