Wind and solar energy consultancy AWS Truepower has added a number of staff to its due diligence and consulting services teams.
David Coffey joins the due diligence team as senior turbine engineer. He has more than five years of mechanical engineering experience in the wind industry.
Most recently he was with Iberdrola Renewables’s global technical division in the US, where he was responsible for operations engineering, performance issues, problem identification, root cause analysis, reliability improvement and technical support across multiple turbine platforms.
Jeremy Tchou has been hired as senior project manager, responsible for technical due diligence and construction monitoring. He was previously with DNV GL.
Alireza Akhavan has been appointed senior civil engineer. He was also previously with DNV GL, where he conducted structural design analysis of wind turbine foundations.
Nicole Hughes has also joined the company as senior project manager and environmental and permitting manager.
She has over 10 years of experience developing and consulting for utility-scale renewable energy projects including with RES Americas and Element Power.
Stephen Lightfoote is a senior analyst, carrying out wind project planning, operational project assessments and energy modelling. He was formerly at SunEdison.
Julio De Los Santos joins the consulting services team as a senior project manager in performance engineering. He has worked previously for Gamesa, Mitsubishi and most recently Upwind Solutions.
Sandra Florentino also joins the company as project manager and technical lead for the consulting services team in Rio de Janeiro.
He has been an independent wind energy consultant for the last six years.
