Commercial Services Group has launched Impact Energy Partners, a recruitment company focused on the UK’s clean energy sector, according to the firm.
The council-owned organisation said the new business will support hiring across wind, solar and grid infrastructure, with an emphasis on transferrable skills, as government reports suggest 400,000 extra clean energy jobs will be created by 2030.
The company is Commercial Services Group’s 33rd trading brand and sits alongside its existing energy businesses, including Laser Energy and Lumina Energy.
Richard Bartlett (pictured), chief executive of Impact Energy Partners, said: “Renewable energy is supposed to benefit everyone, what if recruitment for renewables could do the same? Impact Energy Partners has been founded with that goal in mind, and being part of Commercial Services Group gives us the platform and scale to deliver this, putting people at the heart of our energy transition.”
The business will be based in Birmingham and initially focus on operational roles such as engineers and technicians.
Bartlett added: “We have a deep understanding of the skills needed at every level, from seasoned energy professionals who can bring essential knowledge to the emerging industry, to graduates who will form the pipeline of talent needed for a resilient future.”
Melissa France, investment director at Commercial Services Group, said: “Commercial Services Group is committed to providing the very best support to the communities we work so closely with. Impact Energy Partners is testament to this objective, uniting expert recruitment experience with our knowledge of energy industry trends and our support of the UK’s long-term sustainability goals.”
Commercial Services Group reinvests all profits into the communities it serves and supports more than 22,000 organisations across procurement, HR, energy management, recruitment, SEND support, legal services and school improvement.
