WindEnergy Hamburg has “further strengthened its position as the most important platform of the global wind industry”, according to organisers.
Hamburg Messe said the four-day show attracted 35,000 visitors from 100 countries with the share on international attendees growing by 45%.
There were 1482 exhibitors from 40 countries and included 16 turbine manufacturers.
Hamburg Messe chief executive Bernd Aufderheide said: “The world’s leading wind industry expo offered the right opportunities at the right time: an innovative platform for sharing information, doing business and networking at the highest levels.”
WindEurope held its conference in parallel to WindEnergy Hamburg. Chief executive Giles Dickson said: “The co-location and integration of the two events increased the level of interaction between all the different players in the wind industry. More than 2000 conference delegates delved into the key issues facing the industry.”
The next WindEnergy Hamburg is due to return in 2020 with attention in Germany shifting to Husum Wind, which runs from 10 to 13 September 2019.
