US energy company DTE Energy has set up a renewables arm that will be responsible for all aspects of its clean power business.
Irene Dimitry will assume responsibility for the newly created renewable energy organization as vice president renewable energy.
She was previously vice president business planning and development, a role taken on by Don Stanczak.
He will be responsible for business planning and generation strategy for DTE Electric
Stanczak was formerly vice president of regulatory affairs and will be replaced by Camilo Serna.
Serna’s last role at the company was vice president of corporate strategy.
DTE expects to more than double its renewable energy portfolio over the next five years by investing $2.5bn in wind and solar facilities while significantly expanding voluntary renewable programmes.
DTE Energy president and chief executive Jerry Norcia said: “In order to achieve our net zero carbon emissions goal for our electric company, we are rapidly expanding our regulated renewable energy business and associated investments.
“These organisational changes are designed to ensure that our renewables expansion is fully aligned with our overall development and regulatory objectives.”
