ReFeel New Energy has finalised the sale of a 52MW ready-to-build battery energy storage project in Tuscany to Engie Italia.
Developed from the ground up by the joint venture between ReFeel and SUSI Partners, the project was awarded a 15-year capacity market contract in Terna’s February 2025 auction for the delivery year 2027, the company said.
The sale marks another milestone in the maturing of ReFeel New Energy’s project pipeline and reflects the high quality of its project execution, SUSI Partners added.
ReFeel New Energy was established in early 2022 within the SUSI Energy Transition Fund as a solar PV development platform and has since expanded into battery storage development, leveraging SUSI Partners’ experience in the sector.
The company is led and co-owned by a local management team with a 15-year track record as founders and managers of clean energy company ReFeel.
The SUSI Energy Transition Fund focuses on establishing and scaling platforms developing, constructing, buying, and operating energy transition infrastructure assets in Europe and other key OECD markets.
SUSI Partners has over 15 years of activity and has raised more than EUR 2.3 billion in investor capital to date.
In September 2025, SUSI Partners announced an agreement for it to become part of UK-based Gresham House.
