Engie Green has entered into a partnership with French company Ramery Group in relation to the development of renewable energy projects in the Hauts-de-France region.
The partnership will focus on conversion of post-industrial sites for the installation of solar power plants or wind farms.
The potential for projects is estimated to be several tens of MW, including 25MW of power already installed.
The areas that will host the projects are in Lille, the Béthune-Bruay-Artois-Lys-Romane communes, Cambrai as well as Grand Calais Terres and Mers.
The first project being developed a solar project, in Violaines, on the site of a former thermal power plant since converted by Ramery into a waste sorting and recovering facility.
Engie Green managing director William Arkwright (pictured, right) said: “I am delighted with this new collaboration with a group emblematic of the Hauts-de-France region.”
