The European Commission has approved the acquisition of Windplus by CGE, DGE, EDP Renewables, Trustwind and Repsol Nuevas Energias.
Windplus is developing the 25MW Windfloat Atlantic floating offshore wind farm off the northern coast of Portugal.
It will remain active in the generation and supply of electricity in the Iberian country.
The commission said the acquisition raised no competition concerns given the activities of Windplus within the European Economic Area.
