Natural Power was technical advisor to Cubico Sustainable Investments on the £258m refinancing of the latter’s 200MW UK renewables portfolio comprising 17 onshore wind and solar farms.
Refinancing was arranged with National Australia Bank, Siemens Financial Services, ING Bank and Landesbank Hessen-Thuringen.
Natural Power carried out technical due diligence services on all 17 projects, including an assessment of the long-term energy production.
All the wind and solar farms reached commercial operations between 2013 and 2016.
Natural Power principal solar and energy storage consultant Hannah Staab said: “This will most likely be one of the largest portfolio financings closed in the UK renewables market this year, and we were delighted to draw on our extensive wind and solar PV expertise in order to advise Cubico on such a landmark transaction.”
