DNV has provided technical due diligence to Cubico Sustainable Investments to support refinancing of a 75MW renewable portfolio in Uruguay.
DNV said the work combined the operational 50MW Vientos de Pastorale wind farm with first-time project financing for the 25MW Alto Cielo solar project into a unified structure.
The company added that it carried out energy yield assessments, operational performance reviews, technology analysis and evaluations of contracts and power purchase agreements.
The engagement involved integrating two operational assets with different technologies, operational histories and financial arrangements into a single financing framework.
DNV also conducted environmental, social and permitting reviews to assess long-term performance and risk resilience.
“In complex transactions like this, where you are blending assets with different financial and operational backgrounds, independent validation is critical,” said Brice Le Gallo, vice-president and regional director for SEMEA & LATAM, energy systems at DNV.
“Our role was to provide Cubico and its financial partners with a clear, fact-based understanding of the assets’ technical condition and performance expectations.”
