Jan De Nul reported a net profit of €108m for 2022, compared with a loss of €20m in 2021.
Turnover increased to €2.5bn, the highest ever for the company enabling it to restore EBITDA to 18% on turnover, or €440m.
In the offshore renewable energy market, Jan De Nul was involved in the construction of several offshore wind farm projects, both in and outside Europe in 2022.
Last year Jan De Nul Group completed the Formosa 2 Offshore Wind Farm in Taiwan, which entailed the design, supply and installation of 47 foundations, four export cables and 47 inter-array cables.
Closer to home, in Saint-Nazaire, France, the company’s jack-up vessel Vole au vent transported and installed 80 wind turbines for the offshore wind farm.
Next to offshore renewables, offshore activities encompass cable and umbilical installation works, plus trenching, backfilling and rock installation works.
