French renewable energy company Futuren has appointed Alexandre Morin as its chief operating officer.
Futuren said Morin will be responsible for implementing the group’s “strategic orientations” in support of chief executive Fady Khallouf.
Morin was previously chief financial officer at EDF Energies Nouvelles France.
EDF EN acquired a 67.2% controlling stake in Futuren in June, which it increased to 87.5% last month.
Futuren board of directors chairman Bruno Fyot said: “We are very pleased that Alexandre Morin joins Futuren.
“During the past few years, he has been a major contributor to the success of EDF Energies Nouvelles as chief financial officer of France.”
In the first half of 2017, Futuren electricity sales fell 3% to €27.3m from €28.1m in 2016.
The company said that “less favourable wind conditions” had led to the drop, despite the commissioning of new wind farms.
