Marine contractor Gardline’s 23-metre vessel MV Bittern will undergo sea trials in Great Yarmouth this week before her launch.
The vessel was designed by Global Marine Design and features purpose built Z-Bows and has a 20 square metre foredeck with a carrying capacity of five tonnes.
After the sea trials are completed the Bittern will be launched and delivered to Ramsgate to begin operational trials with London Array before going back to Great Yarmouth to start work on her first contract.
Gardline managing director Phil Durrant said “We are very excited to see the MV Bittern in action and a new capability added to our existing fleet; feedback from clients during the build phase has been universally positive meaning that the vessel will go on to contract shortly after she is launched.”
