Irish engineering consultancy Gavin & Doherty Geosolutions (GDG) is celebrating two milestones – its 10-year anniversary and breaking the headcount ceiling of over 100 staff.
GDG said it has grown consistently each and every year since formation, but growth over the past 12 months, against a backdrop of global uncertainty, has been “unprecedented”.
It added that 2021 has been a significant year in terms of GDG project success.
These include working with PGE on the Baltica 1 offshore wind farm, kicking off an International Energy Agency task that GDG is leading on the Integrated DEsign of floating wind Arrays, and gaining significant traction in the APAC region on projects in China, Taiwan and Vietnam.
GDG has also made progress on other areas of renewable energy integration, including working with ERM on the Dolphyn project and various clean hydrogen concept designs.
GDG managing director Paul Doherty (pictured) said: “The team look forward to the years ahead, to new project opportunities and to solving new challenges with old friends and new colleagues.”
