Wind Energy Ireland has commissioned Gavin and Doherty Geosolutions (GDG) to investigate the role that green hydrogen could play in in Ireland from 2021 to 2030.
In the study the price delta to allow competition with other fuels, for a range of different applications, will be investigated.

This will allow the identification of the subsidy/incentive scheme required, to support pricing competition.
Additionally, the project will investigate the job creation potential of green hydrogen, to 2030.
The Hydrogen Europe Roadmap estimates up to one million jobs being available in green hydrogen in Europe by 2030 and GDG will explore this further and assess the potential economic impact and training requirements.
