The German Federal Network Agency has completed the planning approval procedure for another section of the SuedLink.
The section runs from the district border of Bad Kissingen and Schweinfurt in Bavaria to the state border of Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg near Altertheim.
For this approximately 70-kilometre-long section, the exact route of the new underground cable power line has thus been determined.
The Federal Network Agency had already approved several applications for an early start of construction of TransnetBW for this section.
These measures have now been confirmed with the planning approval decision.
The section begins in Oerlenbach on the border between the districts of Schweinfurt and Bad Kissingen.
From there it runs first to the west and further in a southwesterly direction, to then cross the municipal area of Arnstein and Thüngen in the Main-Spessart district.
At Wasserlosen, the A7 motorway is crossed. East of Thüngen, the section passes Retzstadt in the east and southeast.
It then crosses the Main in the north of Thüngersheim. It then runs north and west around the community of Leinach in the district of Würzburg.
The municipalities of Uettingen and Helmstadt are passed and the A3 motorway is crossed.
The course then leads southeast to bypass Altertheim to the end of the section on the state border between Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg.
