Pacific Energy has merged four of its specialist subsidiary businesses into one unified business unit that will trade as Pacific Energy Renewables.
The four subsidiaries are Hybrid Systems Australia, MVLV Power Solutions, CPE Switchboards and Digital Intelligence.
The merger brings together Pacific Energy’s renewable energy, manufacturing and control systems capabilities under one operating model to “streamline its technical and operational processes”.
QIC-owned Pacific Energy is headquartered in Perth, Western Australia and has operations in Kalgoorlie, Victoria, Queensland, South Australia and the Northern Territory.
Pacific Energy Renewables will continue to offer the same product and service offering as the former subsidiaries, including the end-to-end delivery of hybrid and renewable power solutions, which incorporate solar, standalone power systems, hydrocarbons-off capable microgrids, battery energy storage systems (BESS) and intelligent control systems.
The business unit will also continue to manufacture custom switchgear, transportable switchrooms, BESS enclosures and kiosk substations at its purpose-built facilities in Kewdale and Perth Airport.
Pacific Energy’s Chief Executive, Jamie Cullen, said: “We’ve seen demand for our renewable energy systems, for both new and existing power generation applications, soar over the past few years.
“Bringing these four operations together will streamline our processes, increase our output and improve how efficiently we can respond to growing demand.
“Ultimately, it will accelerate our progress towards becoming Australia’s number one provider of clean energy solutions.”
Pacific Energy owns and operates a mixture of renewable, hybrid and thermal power generation assets across nearly 50 sites nationally, delivering more than 750MW of contracted capacity to clients in the mining and utility sectors.
Around 24% of its contracted capacity is now met by renewables.
Pacific Energy has also been responsible for delivering Horizon Power’s green hydrogen demonstration plant in Denham.
