BayWa’s renewables arm has appointed Phil Goleby (pictured) as co-managing director of its UK Services business.
Goleby will jointly lead UK services alongside managing director Morgan Harris.
The appointment comes at a time when BayWa r. e. is experiencing a continued period of growth and is committing to long-term operations and management (O&M) contracts with many of its partners, it said.
Goleby most recently held a director position for a facilities management company that specialises in reactive maintenance, including grounds works and landscaping, and has previously worked at Enercon GmbH.
In his new role, Goleby will be leading the repowering and revamping teams as well as overseeing the UK service transition to managing Independent Power Producer (IPP) assets.
This is in line with BayWa r. e.’s global strategy to expand as an IPP.
EMEA director of services Max Methe said: “Phil’s experience in renewables as well as the services and facilities management sector will be a great addition to the BayWa r. e. team.
“When it comes to climate action, this is the decade that matters – and we welcome Phil’s expertise on two major fronts for us: revamping and repowering, and our evolution as an IPP.”
Goleby added: “I’m delighted to be taking on this new role at BayWa r. e. I’ve witnessed first-hand how the business is driving the UK’s transition to renewables.
“As co-managing director I look forward to finding new ways to take this to the next level, surrounded by the fantastic BayWa r. e. team, both in the UK and worldwide.”
