Blue Elephant Energy has strengthened its executive team with the appointment of Malte Hippe as chief operating officer from 1 March and Dorothee Klinkmann as chief financial officer.
The company said Hippe will oversee asset management, engineering and IT, bringing more than 20 years of international consulting and renewables experience from roles at Boston Consulting Group and Ørsted.
Blue Elephant Energy added that Klinkmann, formerly head of corporate and project finance and most recently deputy CFO, has assumed the CFO position with immediate effect after several years leading the company’s debt financing work.
The company stated that long-standing CFO Dominik Seibert has left for personal reasons.
Felix Goedhart, founder and chief executive, said: “With the creation of the COO role and the internal appointment to the CFO position, we are setting the course for the next phase of our company’s growth.”
Goedhart added: “We would like to express our sincere thanks to Dominik Seibert.”
