German wind industry body BWO has elected Managing Director of Orsted Germany Jorg Kubitza as its the new chair.
Kubitza, who has held his position at Orsted Germany since April 2021, will replace Sven Utermohlen of RWE Renewables, who could not run again for the chairmanship of the BWO’s board.
Catrin Jung (Vattenfall) and Irina Lucke (Omexom) were appointed as deputy chairs as well. Ina Kamps (BP) will take over as Chief Financial Officer.
“I would like to thank the departing board members for their outstanding cooperation. In the past two years, we have laid important groundwork for the development of the association. With the new board, we will continue this to meet the challenges ahead and realise our expansion goals,” said Stefan Thimm, Managing Director of the BWO.
The new board will start work on 1 January, 2023.
