Irish offshore consultancy GDG has added three members of staff to its ground risk management team.
The company has hired principal geotechnical engineer David Donaghy; principal geophysicist Lucy Catt; and senior geotechnical engineer Joe Freshwater.
Donaghy is a chartered geologist and registered ground engineering professional with 20 years’ experience internationally in both onshore and offshore areas of geotechnics.
Catt has worked on development and optimisation of ground models for offshore wind farms since 2010, for projects in the North Sea, Irish Sea, Taiwan Strait, and Eastern US Seaboard.
In addition to her work in offshore wind, Catt has contributed to major onshore infrastructure schemes such as Crossrail, the Thames Tideway Tunnel, and HS2.
Freshwater has over ten years’ experience in offshore geotechnical site investigation industry for a variety of different O&G and OWF projects, in the North Sea, West Africa, Mediterranean, Taiwan and the US.
GDG, founded in 2011, is a specialist offshore and marine consultancy with over 80 technical staff based across six offices. GDG services the international market with a combination of engineering, scientific and project management services.
