Photovoltaic module maker JinkoSolar has appointed a new chief technology officer (CTO).
Hao Jin, who takes on the role with immediate effect, has served in a number of senior positions at JinkoSolar, primarily as research and development vice president since 2015 and chief scientist before that.
Jin, a research fellow at the Australian National University based in Canberra, will “accelerate R&D efforts” at JinkoSolar and apply them across mass production of solar panels.
JinkoSolar chief executive Kangping Chen said: “We are very pleased to announce the promotion of Dr Jin to CTO, where I’m sure his leadership and experience will continue to drive our cutting-edge R&D forward.
“As vice president of R&D, Dr Jin played a critical role in the numerous significant milestones JinkoSolar hit in technological and industry upgrades and module efficiency.”
