Hee Joung Moon is to step in as CS Wind Offshore’s new chief executive as its CEO and Co-CEO step down from their respective roles.
Joseph Oh, current CEO and Henrik Olesen, current Co-CEO, have decided to step back from their positions for personal reasons to prioritise their respective families.
Olesen will serve as a member of the board of CS Wind Offshore, going forward.
Moon currently heads CS Wind Portugal and joins CS Wind Offshore with a “wealth of experience from Samsung SDI and from senior management positions in both CS Wind UK and CS Wind Germany”, stated the company.
Moons said: “I am very pleased to be joining CS WIND Offshore.
“I join with a primary aim to ensure stability – for employees, customers and stakeholders.
“Our owners, CS Wind, acquired this company because of the evident potential to establish a profitable, enduring business.
“The right prerequisites are present, but we are not there yet.
“I will do everything I can to make sure we turn things around and I look forward to doing so with the support of all my new colleagues across the organization.”
He added: “It is with great understanding for each of their decisions, that we at CS WIND Offshore thank both Mr. Joseph Oh and Mr. Henrik Olesen for their dedication to the company and the time and energy they have put into their work.
Moon has been CEO of CS Wind Portugal for almost three years, in which period CS Wind has taken decision on significant investments to expand the wind tower factory’s production capacity due to high market demand.
In December 2023, parent company CS Wind completed its acquisition of Bladt Industries.
