Renewables certification company TÜV SÜD has appointed a new chairman of the board of directors.
Johannes Bussmann takes over the management of TÜV SÜD having been CEO of Hamburg-based Lufthansa Technik for seven years.

Following the company’s succession plan, he replaces Axel Stepken, who has been at the helm of the company for more than 15 years.
“I am very excited about the challenge of continuing TÜV SÜD’s long and successful journey,” said Bussmann.
“I am excited by the diversity of the company’s topics and geographic locations, as well as the enormous scope of our people’s competencies and expertise,” he added.
Bussmann started his career in 1998 as a product engineer at ABB in Mannheim.
