Offshore wind consultancy OWC, part of AqualisBraemar LOC (ABL) Group, has appointed Katherine Phillips as its new managing director.
Phillips has been promoted to the top OWC role from her current position as operations director, having joined OWC in 2018.
In her new role, Phillips will oversee OWC’s growing international operations, including offices in London, Edinburgh, Hamburg, Warsaw, Taipei, Tokyo, Busan, Seoul, Boston and New York.
She succeeds Will Cleverly, who has moved into a newly established role as global managing director for renewables across the ABL Group, which includes profit and loss responsibility for renewables subsidiaries OWC, Innosea, and East Point Geo, as well as global coordination of the renewables offering across the group.
Phillips has a background in structural engineering and has experience of senior leadership roles on floating and fixed offshore wind projects as well her OWC roles over the last number of years.
Cleverly said: “Katherine is a hugely important part of the OWC family and brings a wealth of expertise in offshore wind from both her time at OWC and prior experience in senior engineering positions.
“We are delighted to appoint her as managing director at a time of exciting and rapid growth for OWC, as we look to expand our global footprint to new offshore wind markets, as well as grow our service offering to best support the race to net zero.”
