TenneT has appointed Edna Schone, Essimari Kairisto and Stijn van Els to its supervisory board, effective from 1 May.
The Dutch-German transmission system operator said the appointments strengthen its “capabilities, knowledge and European experience in the face of its major challenges presented by the energy transition in the Netherlands and Germany”.
Schone is a member of the board of credit insurer Euler Hermes, which is owned by Allianz Group.
She is responsible for the export promotion scheme that Euler Hermes runs for the German federal government.
Kairisto is a member of the supervisory board of Finnish energy company Fortum and technology company Freudenberg.
Van Els (pictured) was previously chief executive of Shell Germany.
TenneT’s Supervisory Board will consist of seven members from 1 May, with others comprising Laetitia Griffith, Ab van der Touw (chair), Pieter Verboom and Rien Zwitserloot.
