TenneT chief financial officer Otto Jager is to step down from the role in the second half of 2021.
Jager decided not to seek another four-year term as member of the TenneT board.
He started his successful career at TenneT in 2008 as group treasurer, continuing on as group controller in 2011 and was appointed chief financial officer in 2013.
From 2015 until 2017 he was stationed in Bayreuth, Germany.
His current responsibilities extend to the human resources, finance, regulatory and procurement units.
He said: “I have been fortunate to experience a tremendous amount of organizational and personal growth at TenneT.
“I am grateful for everything I have learned and all that I have been able to contribute to make TenneT a great company and a great place to work.
“I enjoyed playing a key role in the organizational and cultural transformation of the company; the building blocks are now in place for the next phase of growth.
“I leave behind a stable and solid financial base for someone else to build on.”
Chief executive Manon van Beek said: “Otto is TenneT’s and my support and anchor for TenneT’s financial and HR growth challenges, including record external green financing and recruiting in the last years and intensive collaboration with multiple German and Dutch stakeholders.
“A highly respected and experienced colleague whom I will certainly miss.
“At the same time I am grateful that Otto made his ambitions known at an early stage so that the search for a new chief financial officer can start in time while we continue to work together intensively and with great pleasure and mutual trust.”
