Ramboll director joins GOWA steering group

Ramboll’s acquisition of K2 Management has been formally closed with the receipt of customary regulatory approvals.

With this step, K2 Management is from now on formally part of the Ramboll Group.

Director for Ramboll’s global Wind division Tim Fischer (pictured) said: “In the coming months, we will start to align our business practises closer, and work to integrate the best from each of us to ensure that our team continues to provide the high-quality services our clients and stakeholders know and respect us for.

“We expect to be fully operational as one combined global Ramboll Wind division during the first half of 2025.

K2 Management co-founder Lars K Hammershøj added: “From now on we will be able to provide our clients with a full-service offering within offshore and onshore wind as well as solar, with increased resources to take on large wind projects and a strong global presence.

“Furthermore, due to synergies with different parts of the rest of the Ramboll organisation, we will be able to offer new services within the field of wind, renewable energies and energy systems.”

Over the last years, Ramboll developed its wind business from a primary foundation designer to a full-service wind consultancy combining advisory and engineering services.

During the past three years, the division has been growing annually by approximately 25% and significantly expanded its global footprint, opening offices in the US, Poland, Spain, the Netherlands, Japan, Korea, and Australia.

Following the acquisition, Ramboll’s wind arm encompasses over 900 dedicated experts across 20 countries, adding now also new local presences in Vietnam, Thailand, Taiwan, and Portugal.

With the new setup, Ramboll said it is making significant progress towards its target of expanding its global wind business to over 1000 experts by 2025 in response to growing demand on the global wind market.
