Stargate Hydrogen has signed its first UK partnership through an agreement with Seacht Group as the company enters the British hydrogen market.
The collaboration brings together the European ceramic-based electrolysis developer and the UK energy and engineering group to pursue green hydrogen projects across the country.
The companies will make their first joint public appearance at the Hydrogen UK Annual Conference & Awards in Birmingham.
Marko Virkebau, chief executive officer of Stargate Hydrogen, said: “This partnership strengthens Stargate Hydrogen.”
“The UK is a strategic market for us, and we need strong local partners with the experience needed to support project development,” Virkebau added.
He stated: “This agreement reflects our intention to establish a long-term commercial presence in the UK.”
Stargate Hydrogen plans to build further alliances with engineering companies and EPC-s in the coming years as part of its wider European growth strategy.
Robert Kelly, chief operating officer of Seacht Group, said: “Green hydrogen is expected to play a growing role in the UK’s transition to lower-carbon energy.”
“By partnering with Stargate Hydrogen, we are combining advanced electrolysis technology with local market knowledge to help move hydrogen projects forward,” Kelly added.
The companies said the partnership supports efforts to scale green hydrogen production in the UK and strengthens Stargate Hydrogen’s European presence.
