Taaleri, Landinfra eye 1.9GW Swedish hybrid renewables

Centrica agrees 312MW Finnish power play

Taaleri Energia and Landinfra Energy have entered into an agreement to jointly develop a pipeline of hybrid renewables projects in Sweden totalling nearly 2GW of capacity when built.

The 1.9GW pipeline comprises solar-plus-storage as well as wind-plus-storage projects and is worth more than €1.5bn in investment.

As part of the agreement Taaleri Energia is acquiring 50% of the portfolio from Landinfra, which will retain the remaining 50%.

The portfolio is divided over 1100MW solar-plus-storage and 800MW of wind-plus-storage.

The majority of the projects are located in Sweden’s SE4 area and the remainder are in SE3.

All projects are in the development stage, with first ones to be commissioned in 2025, pending all required permits being secured.

“We are pleased to join forces with Taaleri Energia to jointly develop this large-scale renewable project portfolio in Sweden.

“Taaleri Energia is a reputed renewable energy developer and investor in the Nordic market and beyond and jointly we will bring the necessary capabilities and financial strength to further advance and construct the portfolio, adding new and much needed green energy production to SE3 and SE4,” said Marcus Landelin, CEO and co-founder of Landinfra.

The projects will be part of the SolarWind III Fund’s seed portfolio of between 30 and 40 wind, solar and storage development projects from across the fund’s target markets.

The first close of the SolarWind III Fund is expected to take place April-May 2023.
