Vattenfall will showcase its digitalisation activities and highlight sector coupling applications at the WindEnergy Hamburg 2018 trade fair next week.
“Digitalisation is at the top of our agenda,” said Vattenfall executive Gunnar Groebler. “It will offer us a large potential for further cost improvement, for example via the development of data-driven models and operations for the maintenance of our wind farms.”
He added that the company is focussed on “continuous automatisation, especially with regard to the operation of our assets optimized for the electricity markets”.
Delegates at the fair will also be able to learn about Vattenfall’s sector coupling activities aimed at decarbonising energy intensive sectors such as steel, cement and oil refining.
Vattenfall’s wind unit has some 50 open positions for engineers and technicians and conference participants will be able to learn about the job profiles.
WindEnergy Hamburg 2018 runs from 25 to 28 September.
