Wave Energy Scotland (WES) will announce its third call for projects in mid-July, with a likely focus on structural materials and manufacturing processes.
WES, which is part of the Highlands and Islands Enterprise, said further details will be released on its website and on the Public Contracts Scotland website once the call is announced.
The organisation’s current work includes 17 power take off projects, eight novel wave energy converter schemes and four research programmes in related fields.
WES aims to fund the development of innovative technologies to produce low cost, efficient and reliable components and subsystems to form the basis of a wave power industry in Scotland.
It enables developers to take projects from the earliest stage of development through to proving and demonstration.
