Falmouth wave developer Seatricity is to redeploy its Oceanus 2 device “within days” at Cornish test site Wave Hub.
Following a winter refit including the fitting of a new pump, the 162kW device is waiting to be deployed off the north Cornwall coast.
“Over the last few weeks we have re-attached the pump to the float, checked every nut and bolt for serviceability and have re-booted the onboard electronics which provide telemetry and remote device monitoring,” said Seatricity operations director Andy Bristow.
“We have planned with the various contractors who will help with re-installing the Oceanus 2 to its anchors and moorings at Cornwall’s Wave Hub test site,” he added.
