WPD Windmanager France has hired Olivier Lauras as managing director and opened a second office in the country at Vertou near Nantes.
WPD Windmanager international managing director Henning Rupke said: “With Olivier we were able to win a very experienced and excellently networked managing director for us.
“This is a very important step for the future positioning of our French subsidiary.”
The new office will house staff from both technical and commercial management.
Lauras said: “With our offices in Vertou and Arras, we have further expanded our network in France and can thus serve our customers and their wind farms even more closely.”
Since 2020 WPD Windmanager France contracted wind farm projects with a volume of 139MW, bringing the total to 554MW.
France is now the German company’s biggest market outside of Germany.
