The American Council on Renewable Energy (ACORE) has chosen 10 companies to join the Accelerate membership programme.
Launched in 2021, ACORE’s Accelerate membership programme is designed to support the success of small emerging renewable energy companies owned and/or operated by leaders who identify as women, Asian-Indian, Asian-Pacific, Black, Hispanic, or Native American.
ACORE supports Accelerate members through a complimentary two-year ACORE membership, dedicated staff, access to ACORE events, targeted industry briefings, exclusive tools, connections and advocacy.
“ACORE’s Accelerate members are blazing a trail for more renewable energy companies owned and operated by women and people of color to enter into the renewable energy space while also delivering transformational clean energy technology, development, socio-economic and restorative justice advancements our industry and country need the most,” said ACORE vice president of diversity, equity and conclusion programs, Constance Thompson.
“Achieving a just transition to a renewable energy economy means breaking down the systemic barriers to equity and inclusion within our industry, and I am so proud of the strides our Accelerate members have already made toward ensuring that all people reap the benefits of the energy transition.
“I am delighted to welcome ten new companies to our Accelerate family today, and I look forward to watching them flourish in the years to come.”
The 10 companies joining ACORE’s Accelerate membership programme include:
Emrgy, which connects proven technology with innovative commercial models to bring dependable, cost-effective distributed hydropower to more people globally and High Road Energy Marketing, which offers turn-key solutions for large-scale renewable energy buyers.
The also include NSAI Energy, which brings the power of clean energy and clean energy jobs to “forgotten people in forgotten places” as a power marketer with authorisation to sell energy, capacity and ancillary services across the US.
