Gavin & Doherty Geosolutions has won the Offshore Wind Champion Award at the Irish Renewable Energy Awards 2025, according to the company.
GDG said the award recognises its role in advancing Ireland’s offshore sector through technical leadership, innovation and collaboration with government, agencies and industry.
The company said it has contributed to national and regional initiatives since 2010, including work on the South Coast DMAP, the MAC technical criteria and assessment framework, grid and infrastructure analysis for government and developer support across Ireland.
Managing director Jamie MacDonald said: “Winning the Offshore Wind Champion Award reflects the depth of technical expertise, strategic insight and collaboration that our teams bring to offshore wind development in Ireland and internationally.”
He said: “We’re proud to support government, industry and the wider renewable energy community as Ireland moves from ambition to delivery, and we look forward to continuing this work as the sector scales.”
GDG said it will continue to support policy development, inform infrastructure plans and enable next-generation technologies as part of Venterra Group.
